PROVISIONS X CITYmeals on wheels

On Mother’s day we gathered around the table and enjoyed a locally sourced, seasonal produce and seafood focused meal. We had the honor to partner with the former Karasu Brooklyn Chefs Yael Peet and Elena Yamamoto who crafted this Japanese-American meal. The dinner was accompanied by New York’s first sake brewery, Brooklyn Kura, Brooklyn Brewery and Japanese cocktails with Yola mezcal. We had pleasure to partner with Citymeals on Wheels with profits from the meal benefiting their non-profit. Citymeals delivers nutritional meals and companionship to New York’s homebound elderly community. It was a joy filled gathering dinning with friends and honoring the women that brought us forth.

The dinner was followed by cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and readings hosted by Grace Ann Leadbeater featuring, Jacquelyn Marie Gallo, Chelsea S. Roberts, Sasha von Oldershausen and Teresita Goyeneche. The evening was centered on motherhood but the works challenged conventional notions and ideas. At the end of the readings there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, it was a incredible evening!
